Amber Valley - Branch Diary

All members are welcome to attend any of the meetings, socials or events. As social surveys are done via minibus trip you need to book your place in advance by contacting our social secretary, Jane Wallis, details at the foot of the page.

Socials

Saturday 12th April - Social survey, Riddings area.  As usual there is a free minibus from Belper Market Place at 7:15pm,  Ripley market place at 7.30 with pick ups at Kilburn or Denby if required. We will be meeting members from the Alfreton area in the King Alfred before moving on to pubs in the Riddings area.  Places are limited and as usual it will be run on a "first come, first served" basis so please get in touch as soon as possible if you would like to reserve a place.

Sunday 13th April - Amber Ramble on the Four Bridges Trail around the city of Derby. It will start from the Little Chester Ale House on Chester Green at 12 noon and finish at the Exeter Arms.  Please contact Anne for more information on 07968 198288.  As always, the walk is open to non-CAMRA members so please feel free to bring friends along.

Saturday 17th May - Social survey, destination to be announced.  As usual there is a free minibus from Ripley Market Place at 7:30pm Belper Market place at 7:45 and other pickups are available on request.  These times may change slightly depending on which area we are surveying.  Places are limited and as usual it will be run on a "first come, first served" basis so please get in touch as soon as possible if you would like to reserve a place.

Beer Festivals and Other Events  

24th - 27th April - King William IV Spring Beer Festival, The Bridge, Milford, DE56 ORR

30th May - 1st June - 2nd Belper Goes Green Beer Festival in Association with Amber Valley CAMRA - we are running the Real Ale bar at Belper Rugby Club at this event.  There will be 30 real ales + ciders and perries available.  Entry to the whole event is free.  The Beer Festival will be open from 6-11pm on Friday and 12 Noon-11pm on Saturday and Sunday.   For more details please go to http://www.transitionbelper.org/belper%20goes%20green.html
